Commission d'accès à l'information.

LEXI (lexi.tools) stores the account, words, and class answers to teach the learner's language. The person in charge of personal information is the operator of LEXI. The support page says how to reach that person.

On sign-in Google gives LEXI the email address, name, and profile picture. The learner can replace the picture. LEXI then stores words, meanings, answers, errors, study rules, class blocks, reviews, and the identifier of the connected chat.

LEXI uses this to run the account and the study the learner opened. The basis is performance of that study. Without it there is no account and LEXI does not teach.

The learner and the connected LEXI app can see that data. Google processes the sign-in. The chat the learner connects (Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini) receives only what that chat reads and writes through the LEXI tools. LEXI does not sell the information, show ads, or store health data.

The records are stored on the LEXI server in Ontario, Canada. For a learner in the European Economic Area this is a transfer outside that area. The European Commission adequacy decision covers Canadian organisations subject to PIPEDA. The learner can ask for a copy of the basis through the support page.

LEXI keeps it while the learner uses the account, and deletes the account and these records after a deletion request.

The learner can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and can object. Stopping use stops the study. A complaint can go to the supervisory authority of the learner's country. In Quebec that is the Commission d'accès à l'information.

LEXI makes no automated decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect. The order of words is the study itself, not such a decision.

This text applies from 19 October 2026. It follows GDPR Article 13 and, where that statute applies, sections 8 and 8.2 of Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. A new version is published on this page.
